Artist Statement

This series explores the quiet transformation of natural objects into something unrecognisable. I used a flower and manipulated it using technology in order to produce this dystopian organism. I have interwoven the natural and technological in order to depict my fears of technological advancement. how its influence is becoming a greater force in our lives. It shows how it can reshape our environment and relationships to the nature world, reflecting this greater disconnect to our environment.
