Anna Henderson
Dr Anna Henderson (aka Enni Red) is a writer and producer whose short films have travelled the international festival circuit, picking up selections and awards along the way. She's also the co-founder and programmer of The Bay International Film Festival, where she's programmed 3rd editions and watched hundreds of submissions from filmmakers around the world. Her different roles give her a rare view of the festival circuit from both sides of the screen.
The Masterclass
This workshop takes participants through the full filmmaker's journey - from the lessons learned moving between screenwriter, producer and director, to the practicalities of getting a finished film in front of audiences. Anna will cover how to prepare your film and materials for submission, how platforms like FilmFreeway work, the different types of festivals out there and how to choose the right ones for your work, how to budget for a festival run, and how to spot and avoid scam festivals. She'll also share advice on handling rejection, making the most of acceptance, and building lasting relationships within the festival world.
The Bay International Film Festival

The Bay International Film Festival (TBIFF) is an annual film festival with live cinema screenings and awards, running in Morecambe, North West England.
TBIFF aims to promote international independent films in the Lancashire and Cumbria areas as well as create a cultural dialogue between the audiences of North West England and the world. The festival wants to inspire local audiences and international filmmakers with great films, thoughtful conversations, and joyful encounters.
The inaugural edition of the festival happened in October 2023, with screenings of short and feature films at Reel Cinema, Film Forum, networking events, and an awards ceremony. The festival welcomed guests from around the world, including the guest of honour, Stanley Kubrick’s brother-in-law and producer, Jan Harlan.
This year, the festival is incorporating a new Morecambe Film and Television Festival, a celebration of the industry and its ongoing developments. It hosts a curated programme including premieres, retrospectives, exhibitions and industry and public events.
